The 2006 vintage was Voted #4 on the Wine Enthusiast Top 100 List! Richard & Thelka Sanford make 6305 cases of Alma Rosa Santa Barbara Chardonnay. They "practice and promote organic farming, sustainable agriculture, and ecologically responsible packaging." It is their goal to "honor the unmistakable relationship between the healthiness of the soil, the energy of the vines and ultimetely the soul of the wine.

What we like about this wine: Organic. We love the tropical fruit aromas and cirus-apple acidity.The use of light oak balances out the acidity with a the creamy character we like in Chardonnay.
