"I don’t ever remember loving the wines as much as I did on my most recent trip to Vacqueyras. This very small Vacqueyras estate of 6.5 acres has produced a huge, unctuous fruit bomb in 2006, but with serious Provencal typicity. Everything is destemmed, and the wines are aged in tank prior to bottling. This inky/purple wine shows plenty of licorice, incense, black cherry and cassis fruit, full body, great purity and density, good acidity, and sweet tannins. " - Robert Parker

Cheese Pairings: Aged Gouda, Roomano, Comtomme

Food Pairings: Roasted Lamb or Duck, Beef Enchiladas, Cassoulet
