This wine has elegant structure with rich fruit, soft tannins and a long, smooth finish. There is much more complexity than I usually find in a wine from this price category. It offers lovely ripe red fruit aromas and a hint of mocha. The flavors that stand out are plum, blackberry, a tad of bell pepper and plenty of spice. The local varieties: Alicante and Castelão add juiciness while Cabernet Sauvignon adds depth and structure.
