Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir -- 47% Sonoma County 34% Santa Barbara County 19% Monterey County
Bright, deep garnet color. Aromas of cola, blackberries and a sweet cedar note. A greatly layered palette abundant in flavor and texture. The first entry incases the mouth with a velvety richness. Then the wine unloads with flavors of bright cherry, cola, dried leaves undertoned with vanilla, leather and high style oak. The many layers emerge independently, then refocus while the supple tannins carry the wine through to a lingering, succulent finish.
Meiomi (May-OH-mee), meaning "coast" in the language of the California Wappo trible, truly symbolizes the origin of this Pinot Noir. Each of the vineyards chosen for Meiomi offer the best expression of their appellations along the California coast: a layered blend of Santa Barbara's spice-filled aromas; Sonoma's bright berry flavors; and Monterey's rich textures. The wines are carefully crafted so that these characteristics continue to enhance and build on each other for an evocative and memorable Pinot Noir.

Wild Hog Vineyard Saralee's Vineyard Pinot Noir -- The '07 is another spicy, fruity, and floral wine. It is much like past vintages. As always it will smooth out over the next year, but drinks well at the end of 2008. Beautiful nose, firm but smooth tannins, a good acid balance, it will please you. Big fruit, and berries, in the mouth. The site for these grapes is unique-cool climate, rich fertile Russian River Valley soil, and rolling hills set against a background of stately ancient oaks. The quality that we get each year is consistent. Floral, fruity and spicy -everything you want in a Pinot Noir, and then some! 624 cases were produced
