"The Phaedrus Vineyard is comprised of Malbec, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc and planted in the year 2000 in the westernmost part of our estate on a rocky bench. Each varietal inhabits only a few vine rows and never exceeds more than a ton of grapes. The 2007 Phaedrus Cabernet Sauvignon utilizes this 'spice box'. Malbec offers spice and black cherry aromatics. Petite Verdot plumps the wine with a lush, juicy mid palate. Cabernet Franc is loaded with floral and fruit aromatics, along with a luscious mouthfeel. All of which are supported by the richly textured foundation of Cabernet Sauvignon. A complex yet forward wine that can be consumed now or will age well over the next 5 years. 524 cases produced." -Winemaker's Notes
